Service was fast and they were very patient as we read the menu. The food was solid, I enjoyed it. The side dishes are good and the rice is good quality. Prices are good too. The restaurant is clean and professional. Recommend this place for sure.
Perfect place to eat out. Soup portions is a typical (hugger) bowls which we like. Glass noodles was full of flavor, mackerel was very delicious rice was very good, I can say that it is not cheap rice (oh yeah, I know what I'm taking about). I would say the price is right.
Arirang Tofu House has left an indelible mark on my dining experience with its exceptional food, serene ambiance, and attentive service. Located in a quiet commercial corner, this restaurant offers a haven for those seeking authentic Korean cuisine in a peaceful setting. Upon entering, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated in the serene interior adorned with subtle Korean decor. The atmosphere was tranquil, allowing for a relaxing dining experience away from the hustle and bustle. We started our culinary journey with the Seafood Pancake, which was a delightful introduction to the meal. Crispy on the outside yet tender on the inside, it showcased a generous amount of fresh seafood, satisfying our taste buds from the first bite. Next, we had the Seafood Tofu Soup, a comforting and aromatic dish that exceeded expectations. The broth was rich and flavorful, complemented by tender pieces of seafood and silky tofu, creating a harmonious blend of textures and flavors that warmed our souls. The Bibimbap was another highlight of our meal, beautifully presented with an array of colorful vegetables atop a bed of steaming rice. The combination of savory beef, fresh vegetables, and the signature gochujang sauce made each spoonful a burst of delightful flavors. Accompanying our main dishes were an assortment of banchan side dishes, each meticulously prepared and offering a variety of tastes and textures that enhanced the overall dining experience. The portion sizes at Arirang Tofu House were generous, ensuring that we left fully satisfied without feeling overwhelmed. The friendly wait staff were attentive throughout our meal, providing recommendations and ensuring that our dining experience was nothing short of perfect. In conclusion, Arirang Tofu House is a hidden gem that deserves recognition for its outstanding food quality, peaceful ambiance, and top-notch service. Whether you're a longtime fan of Korean cuisine or a newcomer eager to explore new flavors, this restaurant promises a memorable dining experience that will leave you eager to return.
Korean food for Koreans anticipate traditional ban Chan and several different kinds of kim chi. Our waitress offered more expansive ban Chan to the large Korean men post soccer game lunch, our lunch was standard faire Korean and tasty.
The pancakes we got were bot bad but the soup was amazing. Came with a bunch of sides and overall was very good and very filling. Service was good and the restaurant was clean and very home feeling.
Every single dish that we ordered was bursting with flavor. Each one of the sides and main dishes were all . The crispyness of the rice in both the jighe and the bibimbap really blew me away, im a sucker for crispy rice. I also loved how the decor gave off asian grandma vibes. Plus, the service was amazing. We were checked on multiple times and always had our drinks and side refilled throughout the meal.
SO. GOOD. Amazing portions for the prices, everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and balanced, and I enjoyed the ambience of the restaurant. Loved every single dish, and we crushed all the banchan. Everyone here was also really friendly and attentive. We got the Korean pancake as an appetizer; my husband ordered the spicy chicken bulgogi; and I got the hot beef bibimbap. Cannot recommend this place enough. A little hidden Korean gem in Rockville!
Delicious Korean food, we were all satisfied with our meals and would come back again. I got the DukManDoo, delicious broth and relatively good price compared to the other dish prices. One thing to note at Korean restaurants is that you really shouldn't try to modify a spicy dish to non-spicy (it won't be successful) so if you see a red (likely spicy) soup in pictures and do not like spice, then do NOT request it to be less/no spice as it probably will be spicy. (Some dishes are just meant to be!) Do not get me wrong, I LOVE spicy but have friends who do not like/want spice at all. The restaurant really tried to accommodate this and did their best. I give them credit, but really they should just tell you not to modify. Also, one thing to note is that if you get the soondubu chigae the rice will come in a hot stone bowl. They bring some stainless steel bowls with some water, place your rice into the stainless bowls right away and then you can add the water into the (hot) stone bowl to enjoy your crispy rice from the stonebowl. They did not explain it to us (yes, we are Korean but an explanation was needed!) so thought I'd mention in case it's helpful to others. Overall, very good food!
My policy is: Every time that you go to a restaurant and the place is full of their own people, the food is good. Hidden gem for Korean food in MoCo. Gyoza, Tofu stew, bi bim bap, galbi, all good, follow with a cold Sapporo !
